Defective Products (or “Product Liability”)
Day & Blair represents persons who have been injured by defective products. We have pursued claims against the designers, manufacturers, and sellers whose products are defective or unreasonably dangerous. These cases are commonly referred to as product liability cases.
The definition of "products" covers a wide range of categories, with some of the more frequent examples including:
- Medicine and drugs (e.g., Vioxx, Rezulin, Celebrex, Bextra, and other prescription and non-prescription drugs)
- Medical devices (e.g., pacemakers and implants)
- Food supplies that may be contaminated by bacteria such as e. coli
- Automobiles and motorcycles
- Automobile accessories (e.g., tires and child car seats)
- Household products and appliances
- Children's toys
If you are injured and you think that a product either caused your injuries or made them worse than they should have been, you should consult a lawyer. Regardless of the attorney you choose, you should save the product involved and maintain it in the same condition that it was in immediately after the incident. You should not test it or take it apart or change it in any way.
